Head of Research Projects

We work with over 600 universities and colleges across 23 countries, delivering market research and consultancy services to the education sector. We are at an exciting stage of development and now seek an experienced Head of Research Projects to help develop and oversee our ad-hoc research solutions.

This is your chance to join a small, but fast-growing young company. You will be responsible for leading a team of five project managers, all of whom are responsible for the delivery of education-related market research. You will be writing proposals and formulating competitive bids and pitches as well as briefing researchers and data analysts. A key part of the role will involve meeting with existing and prospective clients to negotiate and agree research projects, and then interpreting research results for education institutions.

As a member of the company executive team you will be responsible for forecasting and budgeting and writing detailed reports and presenting the results to both internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is qualified to degree level or equivalent with extensive experience of market research and project management that shows high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong capability for securing research funding and/or winning project bids tied to excellent communication skills. Direct management experience is essential and a background within the higher education sector is desirable along with the ability to work under pressure and to specific deadlines..

Junior Data Analyst

We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Data Analyst to support the analysis and production of our higher education focused research projects. You will be reporting to the Senior Analyst and the your key responsibilities will include the scripting of online surveys, creation of Excel charts and PowerPoint presentations. You will be expected to extract and manipulate core data from databases and check data files, pivot table, charts and presentations for consistency and accuracy, therefore a strong attention to detail is essential for this role.

We are looking for someone who is qualified to degree level preferably in a numerate degree subject e.g. Mathematics/Statistics/Economics/IT/Computer Science/Business. You will be highly profiecient at an advanced level in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, HTML/CSS, Javascript (or JScript.Net) and /or Excel macros is desirable along with some experience in the analysis of complex datasets and basic web design skills.

The successful candidate will be someone with excellent analytical/problem solving skills and an ability to learn and adapt quickly. You will have strong written and oral communication skills tied to a Willingness and desire to embrace new technologies plus the ability to work under pressure to achieve timely deliverables whilst maintaining high levels of quality and consistency.

Previous work experience is not essential but the ability to work within an office environment would be an advantage. Please look carefully at the above job description and relate your skills and experience as closely as possible to the skills and experience required.

For our research insights to have a real value, they must be applied to the specific needs and contexts of each institution.  As an i-graduate consultant your job is to maximise the value of the research process, making sense of the data and acting as a trusted adviser to our partner institutions.
